Upload a pet or person photo and receive a customized Kinusaiga-style DIY material kit with the design, coordinated fabrics, tools and selected frame needed to make one textured portrait at home.

Please note: this is an unfinished DIY kit. You will create and assemble the fabric portrait yourself. A completed portrait is not included or available for purchase.

Your Photo, Translated into Fabric

Your photo is simplified into a segmented design and interpreted with coordinated fabrics. Carefully tucked fabric edges create raised lines, layered texture and a patchwork character that cannot be achieved with an ordinary printed portrait.

What Is Included

Fabric colors, prints and quantities are coordinated to the submitted photo and may vary. Decorative props and completed artwork shown in example images are not included.

DIY Kit Safety

The DIY kit contains a craft knife, awl and snips. Adult use is recommended. Children require close, continuous adult supervision. Work on a stable, well-lit surface with a protective cutting mat, cut away from the body and store all sharp tools safely after use.

Care for the Finished Artwork

  • Display indoors away from direct sunlight, moisture, heat and open flame.
  • Dust gently with a soft, clean brush; do not wash, soak or spray the fabric.
  • Lift and handle the portrait by its frame rather than the raised fabric sections.

Does the DIY kit require sewing?

No sewing is required. Fabric sections are carefully cut and tucked into the custom design.

Will the portrait look exactly like my photo?

It will preserve recognizable features while translating the photo into stylized fabric shapes, colors and textures.
Customization Process & Timeline

After placing your order, upload a clear photo and complete all personalization details. Your first design preview is usually sent within 1–2 business days. You may request revisions before approving the preview. After preview approval, production typically takes 1–2 weeks before dispatch. Shipping time begins after dispatch and varies by destination. Delayed photo submission, incomplete customization details, or delayed approval will extend the timeline.

What kind of photo works best?

Upload a clear, well-lit, high-resolution photo showing your pet’s face, eyes, ears, and important markings. Avoid screenshots, heavy filters, motion blur, strong shadows, and cropped features. Additional angles may help with sculpted or three-dimensional products.

Do you only create products for cats and dogs?

No. We also welcome rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and other animal companions. For unusual pets, additional photos and notes about their important features may be helpful. Available customization depends on the product.
Will I see a preview before production?

The first preview is usually sent within 1–2 business days, while a small number of products may require 2–3 business days. Please follow the timeline shown on the individual product page.

You may request revisions before approval. Please reply within 48 hours of receiving the preview; otherwise, it will be considered automatically approved and production may begin.
What is the return and cancellation policy for custom products?

Before preview approval, you may cancel for a full refund with no cancellation fee. 

After preview approval, or automatic approval after 48 hours, cancellations requested before shipment are subject to a 25% production fee.

After shipment, custom products that match the approved preview are generally not eligible for return or refund due to a change of mind or personal preference.

What if I am not satisfied when my order arrives?

If your item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or significantly different from the approved preview, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos of the product and packaging.

After reviewing the issue, we may offer a replacement, remake, partial refund, or full refund as appropriate. Minor handmade variations, small color differences, and issues caused by an approved low-quality photo are not normally considered defects. See our Return & Refund Policy for details.
